Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has launched the BHIM mobile payment application Aaadhaar on December 30, 2016. The BHIM application can enable a fast, secure and reliable transaction without cash through a mobile app. BHIM is developed by NPCI (National Payment Corporation of India).
This application is launched to encourage the cashless transaction across India. You will send and receive cash using this application instantly. Cash is credited directly to your account through a secure Unified Payment Interface channel.

First, you have to download the google play store app and install it in your mobile app.
A mobile app has been installed, open the app. You will be asked to select languages - Hindi / English.
In language selection, the BHIM application can request access to SMS.
The following is permission to access and manage phone calls.
Once you have passed the permit you may be asked to select your SIM. (Dual-SIM mobile only).
Your SIM card is verified by sending SMS.
After verification, you will be prompted for a four-digit registration code.
After the password, you will be prompted for a list of banks.
When selecting a bank, the application can obtain its data depending on the registered mobile phone number.
If you have multiple accounts registered with the same mobile number application, you can throw an error.
Once the application obtains your information, you will be prompted to enter the account number.
Once you enter your account number application you can open an option to transfer money.
The display can show 3 Send, Request, Scan and Pay options.
You can make the payment to a mobile number or a UPI address. The default address is mobile-number @ upi

This mobile application is easier than wallets. You will not have to fill in the tedious details of the bank account over and over again.
There are no charges for making the transaction through Bharat Interface for Money.
All banks, which are active in UPI, can be used with the BHIM mobile application.
The entire transaction is secured as it is being passed through the Unified Payment Interface.
This application is backed by the government of India and money is being transferred from bank account to bank account without any intermediary.
Limitation of the BHIM application for mobile phones
This mobile application does not offer any refund offer from now on like Paytm or MobiKwiks.
The maximum transaction limit is Rs.10000 per transaction.
The BHIM application is free. However, a bank may impose some additional charges for the UPI.
